Our Challenges:

High inflation, increased immigration, and a lack of supportive relationships continue to influence a high rate of abortion.

According to the Charlotte Lozier Institute, 1 in 4 women will have an abortion by 45. In the state of Virginia, there are very few restrictions on abortion. The abortion pill, potentially dangerous and widely available online without medical consultation, accounts for more than half of pregnancy terminations in the U.S.

Online marketing to pregnant women directly competes with large abortion providers, making it extremely expensive to reach the most abortion vulnerable.

Providing adequate salaries for medical and non-medical staff can be challenging, though additional patient appointment opportunities are needed.

Appointments available 6 days/week for medical consultations, pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, STI testing & treatment, and life-affirming education.

For our clients in need of encouragement, prayer and resources during pregnancy and after delivery, SLM offers personalized and Christ-centered Continuing Care program sessions.

To counter prevalent pro-abortion messaging from wealthy abortion clinics, maintaining a strategic online presence of life-affirming alternatives is crucial.

To update Fairfax and Alexandria office space and productivity, SLM is planning equipment and infrastructure upgrades like new computers and space utilization, in addition to medical and non-medical supplies.
